AI Agents for Business Workflows

Design, Build and Evaluate One Agent

By Day 5: Ship one scoped agent with defined tools, guardrails and human-in-the-loop, and show a small evaluation of where it succeeds and fails.

Fit checkOpening soon

AI Agents for Business Workflows is a five-day live online WorkReady Capability Sprint for operations, analyst, marketing, support and junior technical learners who already use AI tools and want to move from chat to agentic workflows. Strong fit for GCC and SaaS-facing roles. Days 1–4 are 90-minute sessions and Day 5 is a 2–3 hour Capability Showcase; the complete Sprint costs ₹2,000.

At a glance

Who it's for
Operations, analyst, marketing, support and junior technical learners who already use AI tools and want to move from chat to agentic workflows. Strong fit for GCC and SaaS-facing roles.
Entry level
Fit check. AI at Work or Automate One Real Workflow (or equivalent comfort with prompts, JSON and if/then logic) strongly recommended. No ML background required. Fit check — a short (10–15 min) readiness task before payment confirmation. Learners who are not ready are routed to a feeder Sprint, not admitted with hidden homework.

The professional problem

"Agent" demos are easy; agents that stay inside scope, call the right tool, stop when unsure and can be evaluated are rare. Most learners never test an agent beyond the happy path.

Why this Sprint exists

Design, build and evaluate one bounded AI agent that completes a multi-step business task using tools — with guardrails, a human approval step and evidence of how often it gets things right.

The five days

Your five days, day by day

Days 1–4 are 90-minute live sessions. Day 5 is an extended 2–3 hour Capability Showcase. Open each day to see what you do and what you leave with.

Day 1When an agent is (and is not) the answer90 min
  • Workflow vs chatbot vs agent: decision checklist
  • Pick one bounded task (e.g. triage inbound leads and draft replies; reconcile order status; summarise support tickets and route)
  • Define goal, allowed tools, forbidden actions, stop conditions and human approval points
  • Baseline: run the task manually with an LLM chat and note failures

You leave the day with: Agent specification + risk list

Day 2Tools, context and instructions90 min
  • System instructions that encode scope, tone and escalation
  • Tool definitions: inputs, outputs, error messages the agent can understand
  • Context: what data the agent sees and what it must never see (PII handling)
  • Coached build of the first tool call

You leave the day with: Agent v0 calling one tool correctly

Day 3Multi-step build with a human in the loop90 min
  • Chain 2–3 tools (read → decide → draft/act)
  • Approval step before any external action (send, update, pay)
  • Memory/state: what carries across steps
  • Logging every decision and tool call

You leave the day with: Agent v1 + run log

Day 4Evaluation, guardrails and revision90 min
  • Build a 15–20 case test set including edge and adversarial cases (prompt injection in an email, missing data, out-of-scope request)
  • Score: correct / safe refusal / wrong / unsafe
  • Tighten instructions, tool schemas and guardrails
  • Cost and latency awareness
  • Human review and revision

You leave the day with: Evaluation sheet before/after + agent v2

Day 5Capability Showcase2–3 hr

Changed-case challenge: Reviewer injects a new tool failure, policy change or malicious input

  • Live run on reviewer-supplied cases
  • Learner adapts guardrails/instructions and re-runs the evaluation
  • Explain what the agent may do alone and what needs a human

You leave the day with: Final proof pack, submitted after the changed-case challenge

Tools

Tools you work with

  • n8n AI Agent nodes (default) or Make / Zapier AI
  • Approved LLM API (Claude / GPT / Gemini)
  • Google Sheets as tool/data store
  • Optional MCP-connected tools
  • Evaluation sheet

Tool names describe what is used in the Sprint. No vendor endorsement, certification or licence is implied.

Work you can defend

Evaluated agent + guardrail design

This is the work you explain, question and adapt in the Day 5 Capability Showcase.

Your proof pack

  1. 01Agent specification
  2. 02Tool definitions
  3. 03System instructions
  4. 04Workflow export
  5. 05Run logs
  6. 06Evaluation set and scores (before/after)
  7. 07Guardrail and approval design
  8. 08Limitations note

What a reviewer checks

  • Agent stays within defined tools and scope
  • External actions gated by human approval
  • Evaluation exists and is honest about failures
  • Injected/out-of-scope inputs handled safely
  • Learner can explain each design decision

Day 5 · Capability Showcase

Your work has to survive a changed case.

On Day 5 you present the work, explain key decisions, identify limitations and respond when part of the case changes. The final proof pack is submitted after that challenge.

  1. Present

Walk the reviewer through the work and the decisions behind it.

  2. Question

Answer challenges on evidence, assumptions and risk.

  3. Adapt

Reviewer injects a new tool failure, policy change or malicious input

  4. Defend

Submit the final proof pack and explain what changed and why.

Questions worth asking.

Is a Capability Sprint just a short course?

No. It is a focused live capability studio built around doing one bounded kind of professional work, receiving feedback, revising it and demonstrating what you can do.

Will this make me an AI engineer?

No. The Sprint builds one bounded capability: ship one scoped agent with defined tools, guardrails and human-in-the-loop, and show a small evaluation of where it succeeds and fails. Not an AI-engineering or LLM-training course. One bounded, evaluated agent — not an autonomous production system. SkillsNCR does not promise a role, job or placement.

Do I need prior experience?

What will I produce?

Agent specification, Tool definitions, System instructions, Workflow export, Run logs, Evaluation set and scores (before/after), Guardrail and approval design, Limitations note.

What does a Sprint cost?

₹2,000 for the complete five-day Sprint.

How long is it?

Days 1–4 are 90-minute live sessions. Day 5 is an extended 2–3 hour Capability Showcase.

When is the next cohort?

This Sprint is opening soon. It opens once enough learners join the waitlist — join it on WhatsApp and you will hear when a cohort is confirmed.

Can I join only one Sprint?

Yes. Each Sprint is designed to provide standalone value.

Does this guarantee a job or placement?

No. WorkReady is paid professional capability development, not a job or placement service. SkillsNCR does not guarantee employment, placement, salary or interview outcomes.
